Bilateral Meeting between the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia
and the General
Administration of Customs of the
People Republic of China. In Phnom Penh, Cambodia on June 21, 2010 9:00AM at the Meeting Hall of GDCE, a Bilateral Meeting between the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, headed by H.E. Dr. Pen Siman, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, and the General Administration of Customs of the People Republic of China, headed by H.E. LI Kenong, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Customs of the P.R. China has been held to enhance cooperation in Customs matters including the prevention and combat of smugglings, drug trafficking and other offenses as well as trade facilitation. This meeting is a part of the official 4-day visits of the delegate of the China Customs to Cambodia as well as the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia. After presented about recent developments and achievements of each country, and according to the investments of China in Cambodia, trades volume between these countries are more increasing from day to day, both parties have signed and agreed the following understanding: 1. Within international law and in conformity with their respective legislations, the two sides will make every effort to carry out effective measures to enhance mutual cooperation and assistance in customs matters, trade facilitation, country of origin, prevention and suppression of smugglings, commercial frauds, drug-trafficking and other customs offenses between the two countries; 2. To further exchange information on customs procedures, customs techniques, as well as significant changes in customs legislations or customs procedures of both sides; 4. Two sides agree to cooperate and support each other in the multilateral customs forum such as WCO, APEC, and ASEM; Phnom Penh, 21st June, 2010
