The First meeting on National Cross-Border Transport Facilitation Committee – NCTFC on 25 October, 2010. H.E Keat Chhon, Head of NCTFC, raised the necessarily requirement to establish the NCTFC in accordant with the high decision of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. He also mentioned about the obligations and responsibilities of NCTFC by clarifying that, the important obligation of this new national committee is to simplify the procedure of management control and observing the Cross-Border Transport goods, means of transport, and human only, but it was not developing structure, security, safety, and others which are the jobs of National Transport Coordinating Committee, the existing and currently operational committee. It means that the both committees have to work complementarily for each other. Then H.E. Dr. Pen Siman, Permanent Deputy Head of NCTFC, reported on the progress report of the implementation of Cross-Border Transport Agreement - CBTA, which was including administration organization chart of NCTFC, brief on the operational of CBTA which was coordinated by the General department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, Ministry of Public Work and Transportation, and Cambodia Freight Forwarders Association – CAMFFA. He also indicated many regulations related customs regulation for customs transit crossing border on goods, means of transport, human, import-export via the Kingdom of Cambodia. Those regulations may subject to understanding, revise and complementary of NCTFC as desired in accordant with the laws and for the good international implementation. Finally H.E. Keat Chhon, Head of NCTFC, thanks to all participants and wishing them to get successful and effective job as the member NCTFC in order to achieve the national economy development goal, reducing poor, of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The first meeting of National Cross-Border Transport Facilitation Committee finished on 11:30AM on the same day with workable happy and friendly’s atmosphere. 25 October, 2010
